The Belgian company Saikang recently introduced a new digital printing solution to the market, that is, in its Xeikon3050 and Xeikon3500 rotary digital printing machines, the CyClean non-contact coil cleaning system of the British company Miji International is installed to ensure that the printing coil surface is spotless. Founded in 1988, Saikang manufactures high-quality rotary digital color printers for the labeling, packaging, paper processing and commercial printing markets. According to Filip Weymans, director of Saikang's label and packaging department, they often hear printing machine customers complain that the production environment will cause dust on the printing materials, thus greatly reducing the printing quality. Saikang thus recognized the need to install an automatic cleaning device on its printing press to ensure the cleanliness of the substrate and reduce the maintenance of the printer by the operator. Saikang finally chose to configure its CyClean cleaning system. This is a compact, non-contact, two-sided blowing, vacuum airflow-based system that blows contaminants to a built-in filter. The printed coil can be up to 3 meters wide, can remove contaminants as small as 0.5 microns, and has a compact structure and flexible positioning, suitable for online installation in limited mechanical space.
On the Xeikon 3050 and Xeikon 3500 rotary digital color presses, the substrate material, after unwinding from the reel, must first pass through the CyClean cleaning system before entering the digital printing. The built-in static elimination rod at the inlet of the cleaning system and the outlet of the cleaning head ensure a thorough and long-lasting cleaning effect. The built-in AC ionization bar can neutralize all the electrostatic charges on the coil, thus easily breaking the adsorption force of pollutants on the surface of the material, and significantly reducing the possibility of re-contamination on the surface of the printing material. Filip Weymans said that Saikang is extremely satisfied with its cleaning products, services and technical support. The system greatly optimizes the performance of Saikang rotary digital color printing machine, improves the added value of Saikang products, and makes printing machine customers no longer have to worry about pollutants on the printing coil.
