Belgian Xeikon recently launched a new digital printing solution to the market, that is, on its Xeikon 3050 and Xeikon 3500 rotary digital printing presses, the CyClean non-contact web cleaning system of British Meech International has been installed to ensure the printing rolls. The surface of the wood is spotless. The Xeikon digital printer equipped with this system can run at high speed and is suitable for the processing and printing of decorative wallpaper, folding cartons, and packaging paper products.

Founded in 1988, Xeikon mainly manufactures high-quality rotary digital color printers for the label, packaging, paper product processing and commercial printing markets. According to Filip Weymans, director of Xeikon's label and packaging department, they often hear from printing press customers complaining that the production environment will cause the printing material to be dusty, which will greatly reduce the printing quality. Xeikon thus realized that it is necessary to install an automatic cleaning device on its printing presses to ensure the cleanliness of the printing rolls and reduce the maintenance of the printer by the operators. Xeikon chose to configure the Meech CyClean cleaning system. This is a compact, non-contact, double-sided air blowing, vacuum air-based system that blows contaminants to a built-in filter. The printing roll can be up to 3 meters wide, can remove pollutants as small as 0.5 microns, and has a compact structure and flexible positioning, which is suitable for online installation in a limited mechanical space.

On the Xeikon 3050 and Xeikon 3500 rotary digital color printing presses, after the printing material is unrolled from the roll, it must first pass through the Miqi CyClean cleaning system before entering the digital printing. The built-in static elimination bar at the entrance of the cleaning system and the exit of the cleaning head ensure a thorough and long-lasting cleaning effect. The built-in AC ionization rod can neutralize all the static charges on the coil, thereby easily breaking the adsorption force of the contaminants on the surface of the material, and significantly reducing the possibility of re-contamination on the surface of the printing material. According to Filip Weymans, Xeikon is extremely satisfied with Meech’s cleaning products and its service and technical support. Meech’s system has greatly optimized the performance of Xeikon’s rotary digital color printing presses, increased the added value of Xeikon’s products, and enabled printing press customers.
